Project description (English)
In the Northern Appalachians and Acadia Ecoregion, the Green Mountains are one of the most critical links for connectivity. The Quebec portion of this ecoregion corresponds exactly to the area of operation of Appalachian Corridor. Within this area, Highway 10 (A10) is the greatest barrier to ecological connectivity. Through this report, Corridor appalachien is implementing a connectivity plan that identifies the optimal wildlife management measures needed to improve wildlife passage and restore ecological connectivity on both sides of the A10 between kilometer markers [KM] 74 and 121. An update of this plan will be released in September 2026.

Dans l’écorégion des Appalaches nordiques et l’Acadie, les Montagnes vertes constituent l’un des liens les plus critiques pour la connectivité. La portion québécoise de cette écorégion correspond exactement au territoire d’action de Corridor appalachien. Sur ce territoire, l’autoroute 10 (A10) est le plus grand obstacle à la connectivité écologique. Par l’entremise de ce rapport, Corridor appalachien met en place un plan de connectivité ciblant les aménagements fauniques optimums à prévoir afin d’améliorer la perméabilité faunique et de restaurer la connectivité écologique de part et d’autre de l’A10 entre les bornes kilométriques [KM] 74 et 121. Une mise à jour de ce plan paraîtra en septembre 2026.
